i cooked my famous begedil again

Besides wearing the reds and the whites to work, we also cooked up a Singa delights lunch in pre-celebration of our Singaporean day on 080808.

The sumptuous feast includes:

- hokkien mee by Eliss and Ernest
- lor bah, lor neng and tao kwah by Candice
- prata and curry by Andrew and Yah Wen
- assorted dim sum by Mee Har and Rebecca
- my world famous begedil
- Yeo's drinks sponsored by little boss

Here's showcasing my world famous begedil. I made this same dish for the Mari Kita party we had last year and this photo was taken during last year's celebration.

And these were the best dishes for the day this year:

Here are the suave Singaporeans toasting our Yeo's drinks at the end.

ed: yeah time flies. it feels like just yesterday when we fought to be the first in line to get a piece of ice cream loti from stephanie and jeremy. it was so fun playing taboo last year. we had a simpler session this year. not as crazily fun.

e: lor mee! i love lor mee! i used to go all the way to tiong bahru market (from simei) early in the morning for the famous (and very delicious) lor mee! there's a malaysian restaurant at the big roundabout in Kingsford that sells lor mee. you can go try it, but i don't think it's any good. i'm not a big fan of hums and ya i haven't seen any around in my 2+ years here.
