the family's cny fashion

I kept to our family tradition of wearing red on the first day of CNY. Is this red enough?

Monkey cousin didn't have any red clothing and so had to make do with a cute cheongsam dress. She insisted on carrying that whatever-you-call-it-anime-character bag I found quite ugly looking.

I spent eight hours walking non-stop scouring the streets in town a day before CNY Eve trying to find a red shirt for Bro. Failed. So he ended up wearing a striped grey top. Sad. By the way, Bro was drinking a super chilled miniature can of Asahi, nice!

Bro's gf was wearing a red dress, but changed to a purple one just before we left the house because she felt weird walking around Mum and I who were both wearing shocking chilli red.

Uncle's shirt had stripes of a faint red colour and Mum was the only other ang pow besides myself. And this is introducing Kai Le (nicknamed Colour Pencil) who's the newest addition to Uncle's family. Mum is now half a grandma and is also helping to babysit Colour Pencil on workdays while his mother goes to work.

A bit disappointing that we didn't all go visiting as a red packet family unit. I am going to make it happen next year no matter what.
