I mentioned here that the wing woman I brought to the Rex X'mas party won two tickets to travel anywhere on the Rex network and I was invited to go along with her and even got the privilege to choose our destination. And so I chose (and which she agreed to most enthusiastically) Byron Bay for our little weekend chillout getaway over the Australia Day long weekend in January.
I spent a morning getting the flights, transfers and accommodation bookings sorted and yay! we'll be staying in a beach motel right next to the main beach! Woohoo!
Here's a sneak peak at beautiful Byron Bay - all pictures ripped from tourism sites. I hope to come back with my own collection of fantastic shots too.
Some of the things I plan to do on this trip are:
- to have utterly sinful breakfasts at the beach every morning
- trek to Cape Byron Lighthouse to catch the sunrise (Cape Byron is the easternmost point of the mainland of Australia that projects into the Pacific Ocean and is one of the extreme points of Earth.)
- laze around, suntan and ogle at beach hunks at all the fantastic beaches
- chill, chill, chill
- pig out, pig out, pig out
